Our aim is to give you the vacation of a lifetime on Bali and other islands of Indonesia. Whether you prefer to travel independently or join an overland tour, go on a cruise or make up your own special holiday, we will be delighted to help you to create your perfect vacation.
List Of ToursImmerse yourself in stunning countryside on this guided land cruise through Bali’s most fertile area, visit villagers in their homes, enjoy lunch in a magical rainforest setting and marvel at the UNESCO-recognised rice field terraces of Jatiluwih. Discover the real nature with Bali 4WD Land Cruiser tour.
A day trip through authentic Balinese villages and some of the most
picturesque parts of Bali, WakaLandCruises pick up guests in a land
rover equipped with picnic baskets with refreshments. The journey
leads you away from the main roads and busy highways on to back roads
and through authentic villages.
First stop is a natural stone quarry where villagers have cut the
stone out of a dry river bed for generations. From there the trip
continues to an agricultural village where you will discover the
fragrance of Balinese coffee being roasted and traditional Balinese
snacks are freshly prepared for you. Learn to make “canang”, the most
important element of Balinese temple offerings and take an optional 30
minutes soft trekking through the rice fields.
Next stop is a trip high into the mountains through the
UNESCO-recognized rice terraces of Jatiluwih, followed by a sumptuous
Balinese lunch, served in a rainforest restaurant surrounded by giant
bamboo. Enjoy a glass of wine, beer, tea or Balinese coffee in the
glorious open-air canopy. You can try to play one of Balinese
traditional musical instrument “rindik” or just leave it to the expert
and simply enjoy the music.
After lunch, you will visit Batukaru temple, a unique sacred mountain
sanctuary and royal temple of Tabanan dynasty. It was founded in 11th
century by Empu Kuturan, a great Hindu Sage who established six main
temples on the island of Bali. Here you can pray with the “canang”
that you made, as an offering to the Gods.
The Waka Camp and restaurant. A restaurant built from local bamboo in
the middle of nowhere serving delicious Balinese mountain food - not
quite 'haute cuisine' but almost. Great food, good wine and cognac
with your coffee - where are you? In the mountains, in a bamboo
restaurant, high in a forest - miles from nowhere, the soul of
Bali.
There are tracks and paths and cool mountain water, wild orchids and
birds and an overall stillness. Relaxed, happy, and different, you are
then taken back to your hotel by luxury Land Rover after a very
remarkable day.
Our Land Rovers depart every morning between 8.30 am and 8.45 am and
will bring you back to your hotel around 5.00 pm. A late morning
departure can be arranged on request.
We can also able to accommodate your special destination tour request.
